This is a great game if a family is coming to town. It can accommodate up to 8 players. In Code Names , there will be two teams (blue and red). In which players will have to find all their spies hidden on the board in front of the other team. There will be one player on each team who knows all the code names of their spies, and they will have to lead the other players to choose the right cards to reveal their spies.
This is a great game for larger groups of players and encourages players to talk to each other. No hidden traitor or person to be chosen as a bad guy is a fantastic board game for all ages.

In Survive! Escape from Atlantis, it is surprising that you will try to survive and escape from Atlantis. Players will have to evacuate their survivors to the safe islands surrounding Atlantis before it is completely destroyed and sinks into the sea. Players can travel by boat or try to swim in more desperate actions, but there are also sharks and sea monsters patrolling the waters.

If you haven’t played Catan yet, you’re missing out. The simple idea of building roads and settlements can be very competitive and has been a strong family for a household for many years. After the first game, I was so addicted that I played non-stop for the next 3 days with family and friends.
For me, this is one of the best family games. The origin of Catana is even family-oriented. Designer Klaus Teuber developed it with his family and would play sons on the game, and I think that’s best described by his words.

Sequence is an abstract strategy game that plays as an advanced version of Connect 4 (or 5 in the case of Sequence). Players will play a card from their hand and place a chip on the board to make a sequence (5 in a row). The lifts are wild and can either put the token anywhere on the board or remove it anywhere, depending on the card.

Azul is a very simple game to learn, but it is incredibly difficult to master. You’ll pick and discard tiles and arrange them around the board to earn points, but that’s a lot more. The first few rounds will be easy and simple, but as you continue the game, you will realize how hard it will be to force you into strategic thinking.

I’ve been playing Ravensburger since I was little. They are great children’s games, and Labyrinth is the one I still play today. Each player will be dealt a number of cards with the image of something in the maze, and then they will have to push the tiles to rearrange the board so that their chips have a clear path to the picture on the card. Dragonwood is an easy game of dice and cards with very cute and silly artwork. Players will try to capture monstrous and upgrade cards to score points and special abilities. To capture cards, they will play multiples of the same card (2, 2, 2), a sequence of cards (1, 2, 3) or cards of the same suit. For each card they play, they get the dice they want to cover the card with. When caught, they will give the player special abilities or points to win. The game is so simple, yet so much fun.

It’s probably best to play on Christmas Eve instead of Christmas morning, mainly because you have to actually play this game in the dark. Shadows in the Forest is a semi-cooperative board game where one player takes control of a light and searches the forest. It’s a very endearing and light-hearted game and I’ve never seen any other game use light in such a creative way.
