Risk: Star Wars Edition
Risk: Star Wars Edition
If you look at the Risk: Star Wars board, you’ll notice that it’s completely different from almost all other Risk boards. The game is quite different from other Risk games, but if you’re a Star Wars fan and looking for an epic Death Star showdown, you can’t go wrong here.

Best Twist

Danger: storm
Danger: storm
Each Risk game has its own little specialty that makes the versions fun, but Godstorm’s is one of the more interesting ones. When units die in the game, they go to heaven / hell to fight for the opportunity to be born again. The Greeks go to Elysium, the Nordics to Valhalla, and so on.

Best overall

Risk: legacy
Risk: legacy
Risk Legacy wins our best overall. Not only was this the first abandoned game to transform the board game industry, but it’s an amazing world full of tense moments as players struggle to the death.

The best versions of risky games

# 1. Risk: Europe

Players: 1 - 4
Playing time: 45-180 min

Your kingdom is inviting gentlemen / ladies and threats are coming. Your farmers need a stable economy and a longing for security; do you know how to share and master?

Risk: Europe is betting its opponents against each other in the pursuit of 7 crowns. Each crown boasts an impressive and unique set of skills, so the more you gain, the stronger your bonds. Some of the differences you may notice in this version include a reversal phase.

Start by placing two cards face down, the first “orders” dictate whether you will tax opponents or spend funds. The second order shows your movement; will you move to another territory or expand the dominant provinces?

Battles are fought using dice , and the game is won by a crate in the back, secret alliances, and extreme betrayal.

# 2. Risk: The Walking Dead - Survival Edition

Players: 2 - 5 Undead
Playing time: 60 min

Brainnnnns, Eyessssss, Heartttt, is all it takes to play this performance of Risk. The map takes us to the good old southern states of America to outwit each other for territories.

As usual, the fight for 32 regions is crucial ... but so is survival this time. At the beginning of each turn, a bloodthirsty zombie flock to eat you for dinner. Before you start the queue, you need to draw an event card to determine your destiny.

You may be blessed with a reward or sabotaged with punishment. In each case, the game ends after a certain number of rounds, leaving only one person. (obviously alive)

# 3. Risk: Warhammer 40,000

Players: 2 -5
Play time: 60-120 min

Welcome to Vigilus, the most unfortunate sector of the galaxy. Surrounded by greens, chaos and Xenoids on all sides, Vigilus is set to become a war zone of the millennium as forces from all sides unite and demand it as their own.

Choose your poison with one of many groups of characters: Orcs, Space Marines of Chaos, Ultramarine, Aeldari Craftworlds and Genestealer Cults. All legions have a designated leader who controls and manages the attack units with a triple threat. Use the special abilities of the leader, luck dice rolls and prize cards to consolidate your position in the galactic conflict.

Collaborate with your horde to achieve three different goals and fully control Vigilus so you can become the ultimate dominant!

# 4. Risk: edition of the Lord of the Rings trilogy

Players: 2-4
Play time: 180 min

"It's a dangerous business, Frodo, to go through your door ..."

Head to Middle-earth, through the Isengard Gardens, past Rivendell, to the terrifying Mount Doom with a mission to take over the region and harness the power of the ring.

This risk variant offers basic risk rules or Lord of the Rings rules, with a twist! Command good or evil forces and fight your rivals to extinction. As you conquer the land, you will discover ancient cities of power and adventure cards to increase your points.

This edition is extremely interesting because it includes several territories such as Gondor and Mordor, a second board on the back, as well as an adaptation of the Allied team. When the ring leaves the table, the game is over. My precious!

# 5. Risk: Star Wars Edition

Board game Risk Star Wars Edition

Players: 2-4
Play time: 30-45 min

May the force be with you! This game is perfect for Star Wars nerds; I admired the board being designed as a tie fighter, all the mini components, the storm chips and the Death Star base camp.

The fight for the Universe is played in three battles as the rebel alliance fights against the Galactic Empire to wipe out the Death Star. The Rebel Fleet is rich with six different fleets ready to attack, but if the Death Star eliminates them, it will have the power to destroy any ship in any area, causing chaos.

  • The TIE fighter game board has 3 fight theaters

  • Players choose to play as a light or dark side

# 6. Risk: Game of Thrones

Risk: Game of Thrones Board Game

Players: 2-7
Play time: 120-140 min

And Risk: Game of Thrones is a battle for the Iron Throne in Westeros as powerful parties flock to fill Bareatheon’s city. In Essos, Daenerys builds an army that will command the Ghiscari slaves and later take the throne as their own. The War of the Five Kings has officially begun.

Following the example of the HBO blockbuster Game of Thrones , fans will be pleased with the detailed territorial board, house chips and the possibility of replaying it. The board is double-sided, offers up to 7-player playback , has a smooth 2-player variant, includes winning points and allows for three different gameplay mechanisms:

"Conflict" : Basic and introductory
"Dominion" : advanced with goals, characters, master cards, more strategies
"World War" : More players using the rules of conflict or domination

The first to 10 winning points while holding the seat of power occupies the iron throne.

# 7. Risk: Legacy

Risk: Abandoned board game

Players: 3 -5
Play time: 60 min

Risk: The legacy offers a new, updated approach to common risk rules with many elements of surprise. The box comes with several hidden compartments, you unpack the contents and discard with each new playback. Please indicate the Risk for the original rules, as I will only describe the changes here. [NO SPOILER!]

Each of the five factions has a chance to break one main rule at every turn. Once you start, you have two options - one you have to discard right away. Yeah, you heard me - throw that card away. Tear it up! Throw it in the trash! In older games , the whole experience changes according to the decisions and actions of the players.

For the first 15 games, the winners receive higher prizes and the losers receive lower prizes; such as naming a city, etc. After 15+ games, the board will eventually stop changing and you will be left with your own distinctive copy of Risk: Legacy.

# 8. Risk: 2210 AD

Players: 2-5
Play time: 240 min

Manpower is such old news! Touch the base on the moon, sea and Earth while fighting the robotic armies to occupy the most of the game board territory.

Destruction Machines (MODs) are run by people who each have their own leadership skills and powers. The game takes place in a maximum of five turns, with an added component: energy!

Energy government board; this is the only way to purchase a command card that will activate the leader's ability, bid for the order, and hire new fleet commanders. Sorting difficulty is more difficult than other Risk Editions in this round for additional strategy elements that you need to include. In addition, light years are required to travel to the Moon.

  • For 2-5 players
  • Playing lasts up to 4 hours

# 9. Danger: storm

Players: 2-5
Play time: 120 min

Are there any mythology lovers among us? Play as the Greeks, Celts, Babylonians, Nordics or Egyptians, whose job it is to spread their rule across the ancient world and the corresponding underworld. The board places you in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa to explore the region, assemble ancient relics and master world domination.

The underworld adds a dark element to the movement; you can deploy troops to invade and control the crypts, which will bring you winning points later in the game. Similar to Risk: 2210 AD there are only five “epochs” and that priest who is left with the most winning points at the end is declared the strongest.

It is worth mentioning the allowance for playing in the territory of Atlantis; be warned, as the city can sink at any moment and take your ruling party with it.

# 10. Risk: Original

Players: 2- 6
Play time: 120 min

Ah, the most famous war game on the market! No one can claim that risk is a classic … and with good reason. The game is set to monopolize the world and become the only remaining conqueror!

Each turn allows for three choices:

  • Attack other players with higher dice rolls . You can do this multiple times if you feel At Risk !
  • Move your troops to new territory, just next to the one you are currently occupying.
  • Get extras to win: continent bonuses, bonus cards, ownership of multiple territories.

Whoever gains the most armies, plays them most efficiently and conquers the most territories steals the victory in Risk.
