Munchkin, created by Steve Jackson, originally appeared on store shelves in 2001 and has since made players laugh and irritate them in equal measure.

Munchkin took Dungeons & Dragons' fantasy ideas and promptly ran them over with a clown car full of penguins. I realize that doesn't make much sense, but Munchkin aspires to that level of ridiculousness. As long as you don't take it too seriously, the game's eccentric artwork and backstabbing gameplay are a lot of fun to play.
