The best board games for 5 players

The best board games for 5 players

There is nothing like a gang gathering at a big table game. It’s great to have a group of 5 or 6 players ready for board games but 5 players is just enough to be able to play exceptionally without waiting for age to start your next turn. So, pin up, as today we share a selection of the best board games with five players.

Our best selections for the best board games for 5 players

Best 4 to 1

Fury of Dracula (4th edition)
Fury of Dracula (4th edition)
Fury of Dracula is a great game overall. Tensions between hunters and hunters grow throughout the game, and clashes between vampire hunters and Dracula make for a very exciting tabletop experience.

Power grid, hands down! Power Grid is a big player in the Eurogame department when it comes to any number of players, especially 5. If you are looking for a Eurogame with 4 extra friends, look no further.

Cosmic encounter
Cosmic encounter
Cosmic Encounter is a fantastic game, regardless of the number of players. He happens to really sing with five actors. The dual task is also one of the better science fiction and area control games, so it’s a win-win.

Top 5 best Eurogames for five players

# 1. Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico Board Board Box and Components

Puerto Rico may be an older game, but it’s a classic and still sticks ahead of some of the other bigger boxes that came after it.

Puerto Rico is building Euro engines They all start with the same stupid land and the same cheap crop, but once players build their industry, they will be able to win points by extending the production chain and sending higher quality cash crops.

  • A game of 3 to 5 players
  • 90 minutes of play
  • Quality agricultural and economically themed board game

# 2. Katan

Catan board game for 6 players

Okay, so maybe the base Catan only allows 4 players straight out of the box, but it’s a handy extension for 5-6 players that sells separately. I wouldn’t normally add games that can’t be played with five players without Expansions , but Catan is such a classic, I had to do it.

The rules for 5 players are basically unchanged, except that players have the option to build outside of their corners to accommodate a larger group of 5 to 6 players.

He is still the Katan you know and love More cheerful, right?

# 3. Power grid

Power Grid board game for 6 players

The Power Grid is one of the most important Eurogames and one of my favorites. This is a huge economics strategy game in which players try to connect most cities to a viable power grid.

To that end, players are betting on what kind of power plants they will build, but fashionable super-powerful power plants won’t be available until they buy previous junkier devices. It is also about by-products such as nuclear waste and what power plants need to operate.

It’s an incredibly impressive game that has been around for years and is getting better and better with more players ... with five players, for example.

# 4. Shogun

Shogun Board Box and board

In Slovenia, there are some periods of historyhistory that fascinated people more than the Japanese Sengoku period , in which the entire country was divided by military commanders who tried to unite the country under one rule.

During this period, there were several iterations in pop culture that included movies, video games , and of course board games.

Shogun is a majority control board game in which players take on the role of Daimya and try to take control of the land from their rivals. It's not easy. Players need to expand their influence and gain territory, but they need to be fed, and then they need to pay for their military actions. There are many resources for juggling, but some luck is also involved.

It's not just that rolling dice wins but also more numbers. There is a tower that randomly resolves conflicts, depending on the number of resources invested in it, so even the most powerful armies have the potential to fail.

# 5. El Grande

El Grande Big Box Box Box and board layout

El Grande is probably the best example of a board game to control the area . It determines the mechanics and genre. It is very easy to learn and teach and the game itself is incredibly well designed. In addition to this amazing design, there is also a fantastic scaling, in which El Grande plays as well 3 players as in 5.

There is not much to say here. If you’re looking for a five-player game with area control, this is it.

3 best five-player board games based on a team

There is nothing less than a little competition in these 4-against-1 games.

# 1. Dracula's rage

rage dracula box and board

Dracula's rage chases a team of vampire hunters in search of the elusive Dracula against the vampire lord himself. It will take all the skills and equipment of all 4 hunters to find and take him away.

You may feel like tackling one of your friends, but Dracula’s movements are hidden throughout the game and will have a bunch of supernatural powers to fight and escape into the night. It’s great for larger groups, as there’s always excitement going on at the table, no matter whose time it is.

# 2. Star Wars: The Imperial Attack

Board game RPG Star Wars Imperial Assault RPG

Imperial Attack is one of my favorite Star Wars board games . Such an RPG has a similar feel with more characters and level progressions, just like role-playing .

There will always be an unusual player to lead the game, but that doesn’t mean they can just watch it. One player controls the troops of the empire and kills him with a rebel scum.

# 3. Descent: Journeys in the Dark (Second Edition)

Descent: Journeys in the Dark Board Game
If you're a fan of board games and you're least interested in playing Dungeons & Dragons , this is a good starting game to get a little deeper into the dungeon.

The descent is another all-vs-1 game in which the boss takes the place of the dungeon commander, much like D&D. They get all the ugly monster abilities to smash the other four heroes to pieces. It’s a classic and one of the best dungeon spiders out there.

# 1. 7 wonders

7 wonderful board games for 6 players

I’ve always been fascinated by Civ-Builders in board games. The complexity of putting an entire civilization in a box is in itself a pretty impressive feat and 7 Wonders is one of the best examples.

7 Wonders allows players to create and customize their civilization through three eras. With a built-in timer and rabbit hole strategies to choose from, 7 Wonders is a game with a huge shelf life. It doesn’t really work 2 players , but there are a minor 7 wonders: a duel as well as a comfortable night out for a date .

# 2. Citadel

Board game Citadels

Play card games well with larger groups of players because they don’t necessarily need a big board for everyone to sit down. The problem, though, is that you usually sacrifice a themed touch in favor of playing cards.

The Citadel is a hidden role , a choice, a card-drawing game that still retains its flair, while being extremely easy to pick and play. In each round, players take turns choosing a role to perform actions during the game. It’s quick and easy to teach, making it an especially enjoyable easy game on the go .

# 3. King of Tokyo

King Tokyo's board game

When I was a little kid, I was a big Godzilla fan. I still am, and sometimes I am. The King of Tokyo allows you to relive those rubber monstrous fights of yesterday by picking up crazy superpowers and defeating yourself for control of Tokyo.

This is a very checkered game that uses Yahtzee - a type of mechanics for scoring, hitting and gaining energy (resources). It is a relatively fast game with beautiful works of art. This is a real backstage board game, so be prepared for your friends to attack you.

# 4. Camel Up

Camel Up Box Box in Art

camel up , which would justifiably be confused as the Camel Cup, is a fun little racing game with wonderfully stupid components. Players race along the track with their camels.

As all biologists know, camels are naturally designed to stack on top of each other and fit perfectly vertically because of their folding humps. This is a really fun game that is quick and easy to get into and is great for kids and adults alike .

# 1. Terraforming Mars

Terraforming Mars single player board game

Terraforming Mars is one of my favorite sci-fi board games and with 5 players it really shines. In this game, your group of five will learn a lot about backstroke .

In Terraforming Mars, players try to create Mars into a wonderful new oasis, but they also play as competing corporations trying to gain the most fame. It is in everyone’s interest to grow from a big red planet to a happy green one, but how you do it is up to you.

What a beautiful forest you have grown. It would be a shame if someone took it away for resources. It’s that notch, cooperative backbabbing combined with the repeatability of the entire planet, making Terraforming Mars one of the best five-player board games.

# 2nd Century: Spice Road

Century: Spice Road board game box, maps and blocks

The Century Series is really cool. They take different parts of history and look at what made them special. It is available in three different parts, and each is a standalone game with different mechanics.

1. researches the spice trade and its complexity is tied to a very smooth card-making mechanic. Players will need to pick up goods and set up trade routes to be the ones with the most profits and points.

The century reaches a maximum of 5 players and is a lot of fun. If the historical theme isn’t really your thing, you can always try the Golem series, which is basically the same game, but set in a fantasy setting with crystals instead of spices.

# 3. Lords of Waterdeep

Lords of Waterdeep board game

For a little touch of D&D, Watercourse Masters offers that familiar fantasy world from a different perspective. Instead of being adventurous adventurers running around and saving gold for this pure shining sword, you play as the actual giver of searches as one of the Lords of Waterdeep.

This game takes full advantage of a larger number of players by placing workers and measures 3 to 5 players very well.

# 4. Wingspan

Wingspan Box Game Box and installation

The front panel of this sleep has impressed many community gaming communities with its release. It’s always interesting to see what kind of theme we can use in a board game. It’s one of the better new motorcycle games to come out in the last few years, and it’s a fantastic addition to any gaming shelf.

The range of wings fits perfectly and even has a solo variant after the departure of friends and you want to practice. The components are superbly crafted and the gameplay is quite intuitive, allowing newer players to get into the game quickly while offering a fair strategy.

# 5. Cosmic Encounter

Board game for 6 players Cosmic Encounter

The Cosmic Encounter is the first step for many gamers into the wider world of board games, making it a great choice for intermediate gamers who want to get to harder titles without blowing up their bank accounts.

With the trend of bigger field = more play (I’m watching this Gloomhaven ), Cosmic Encounter manages to smash the entire space opera into a normal play corner. It has a choice of dozens of races, cosmic space battles, colonization, diplomacy, exceptional gameplay and simple rules.

For gamers who have a large group but don’t want to spend the next 3 days playing Twilight Empires , Cosmic Encounter delivers a punch that makes it a constant on my gaming shelf, and with five players, there are enough opponents to really shine diplomacy and colonization.

# 1. The rising sun

Board game Rising Sun.

from the CMON Game comes another large box filled to the brim with intricate miniatures and complex gameplay. Rising Sun is a large control / majority box game where players play it and compete for the favor of the gods.

There are several levels of strategy in the rising sun, and simply destroying enemies here is not always the best way to win. You’ll have to stare at the board and analyze exactly which path will give you the most points, which is good because all the components look amazing.

# 2. Concordia

Concordia Art Game Art

Concordia is one of the few games in the Roman Empire that does not actually involve any military units or legions. Concordia has a different approach to empire and has players who build an economic empire using trade routes and goods.

Concordia is a great economic game and if your friends are looking for something a little more advanced than Catan, this is a great transition to a harder game.

# 3. In the year of the dragon

In Dragon Board Game Box and Board

Dragon Year is a game that is absolutely great with multiple players, and coincidentally is limited to 5.

This tile-making game falls into the category of easy to learn, hard to master . When you play for the first time, there is a precise sense of paralysis analysis. You can easily pick up all the rules, but there are so many chances to earn winning points and each one is a valid strategy in itself.

You’ll have to find this yourself, because every time I play, Kendra and her uncle always destroy me, but I’ve never played badly.

# 4. Hair

Scythe board game for one player

What do you think of when you imagine Eastern Europe after World War I?

Of course giant bellows.

the piece is one of the most beautiful games I have seen for quite some time. It has a steampunk vibe and the first time you look at it, you can imagine Pacific Rim giant robotic fights, but it’s not really about that. Each player leads his own faction and tries to gain control of a small area in this mechanical alternate history of Steampunk.

But giant bellows don’t just run with steam. Players need to figure out their technology, agriculture and economy before they can really draw these big behemoths and compete for power.
